kristal_hair_journey12My name is Kristal and I am one of the new faces of Janelle Beauty!

I decided to go natural for more than one reason.  My hair, in relaxed condition, was unhealthy.  I can bank on the fact that this was due to the chemicals that I had to apply regularly.  I was not pleased with the state of my hair one bit, nor was I pleased with the fact that I had to use chemicals in my hair to acheive a certain look.  Furthermore, natural hair was absolutely beautiful to me.  I figured this is the way the Lord made my hair, so what’s wrong with keeping it that way?  Why not flaunt what He gave me!!!!  Finally, my hope was that having my hair in its natural state would offer more convenience.

Diva (Click to order)Now that I have been natural for almost two years, I have no desire to go back to the relaxer.  My hair is so thick and healthy, my look is always stylish, and the upkeep is much more convenient, as I have a very busy lifestyle!  In addition, with the use of Janelle Beauty Smooth Kit, I no long have to use chemicals, and my hair is that much more healthy!!!!

On Finding Diva Smooth

After my first Diva Smooth application, I immediately noticed the results. For the first time in about a year and a half, I was able to comfortably run my fingers through my hair. Then, once my hair was straightened with a flat iron, it was completely straight as if I had a relaxer. When I washed it, it went back to its original texture, which is exactly what I wanted it to do! I am definitely a fan, and will continue to use Diva Smooth from here out!

  2. Kathy says:

I am very much interested…but I have some questions.

If you have to apply it every 4 weeks…isn’t this a relaxer?

Should this be done by a professional? Or can I just follow the steps myself… is it really that simple?

  3. JAMILA says:

I was wondering if this product is safe to use on my 4 year old daughter?

    Hello-
I live in Florida where the weather is very humid in Miami. Will this product hold-up in humid weather because humidity is wet. I can't wear a "press-and-curl" because of the humidity. Most African American women here mostly wear braids due to the weather. My hair is breaking off around the edges from the braids. Your input is greatly appreciate!!

    • JBSupport says:

The issue of humidity can be addressed with the use of the Virgin Coconut Oil Hair Serum before applying heat to the hair. This will usually keep the hair from frizzing and allow you to maintain smooth roots.

The Diva Smooth will help get your hair to optimum health, which in turn, help keep the scalp and hair moisturized. The double benefit of these 2 products goes a long way in sustaining manageability and supporting sleeker, smoother hair styles

  13. Interested1 says:

I currently have a relaxer and I would like to start the transition into a natural hair state. Can your product assist me? Will I be able to use it on my relax hair while transition to all natural?

    • JBSupport says:

Yes! You can use the Diva Smooth along with the Virgin Coconut Hair Serum to transition out of a relaxer. You will apply the product from roots to ends (which will include your relaxed hair). The product will also repair and restore your hair as you go through the process of transitioning to your natural hair

  14. LNL says:

I have the same question, I have perm in my hair now, can I use your product while the perm is growing out; Or will using the product in conjunction with the perm damage my hair?

If you dont want to respond here…please contact me here :LNL918@aol.com

Thanks …A Very Interested Potential Customer.

    • JBSupport says:

you have a relaxer in her hair, then you can definitely use the Diva Smooth to transition to natural. You apply the product every 4 weeks at ANY point in your grow-out process - meaning, you can apply it from the day you apply a perm to the point of needing to re-apply a perm (4-6 weeks out). There are no chemicals in any of our products, therefore, there is nothing to change your virgin hair into chemically processed hair. Your hair will remain virgin hair, but you will now have the flexibility to wear straight styles whenever you desire.

  15. Jo-Anne says:

My daughter has been suffering badly from breakage and I've had to have her hair cut as a result. I want to try your products, but should I give her hair a rest with some braids and then try the product or can I go straight to trying the produc ts? She has a relaxer in her hair at this time.

    • JBSupport says:

There is no need to braid the hair. If your child has a relaxer in her hair, then you can definitely use the Diva Smooth to transition to natural. You apply the product every 4 weeks at ANY point in your grow-out process - meaning, you can apply it from the day you apply a perm to the point of needing to re-apply a perm (4-6 weeks out).

You can check out the ingredient page to ensure there is nothing in any of our hair care products that you or the child might be allergic to. There are no chemicals in any of our products, therefore, there is nothing to change your virgin hair into chemically processed hair. Your hair will remain virgin hair, but you will now have the flexibility to wear straight styles whenever you desire.

    • You can apply the product after removing the braids.

Diva Smooth is a pure natural alternative. Diva Smooth is based on a finely tuned mixture of all natural ingredients that when applied together with a flat-iron, your hair comes out naturally smooth and healthy. The Diva Smooth coats your hair cuticle with all-natural ingredients, giving your hair a smooth base to achieve the straight, permed look.

It is also recommended that you can check out the ingredient page to ensure there is nothing in any of our hair care products that you or your child might be allergic to. There are no chemicals in any of our products, therefore, there is nothing to change your virgin hair into chemically processed hair. Your hair will remain virgin hair, but you will now have the flexibility to wear straight styles whenever you desire.

  16. Mandy says:

I workout 5 times a week and thus wash my hair twice a week to remove the built up sweat and dirt. I am currently trying to transition from relaxed hair to natural and thought of using this product. Is there an issue with the number of times one can wash their hair with this product?

  17. DebDeb says:

I have very thick curly hair, that tends to be frizzy. I am not a fan of flat irons, or any heated appliances becuase of the bad breakage it creates…especially at the back. Can i use an old style hot-comb (on the stove) instead of a flat iron? I am very interested in using this product.

    • JBSupport says:

Yes!you will need to use the flat iron or an Electric Hot comb in order to get the smooth silky result. The application of heat is the element that gets your hair straight. Using an electric hot comb is a better choice than an old style stove top hot comb because heat is distributed evenly. However, you do not need to use the flat iron to benefit from the restorative effect of the product.

    • Yes, You can use a pressing comb, however we recommend that you use an electric comb, which comes with heat settings that allow the heat to be distributed evenly.

  18. JBSupport says:

There isn‘t an issue with how many times you wash your hair. Prior to flat ironing apply the serum. Applying heat will bring it back to its Diva Smooth state.

The Diva Smooth will help get your hair to optimum health, which in turn, help keep the scalp and hair moisturized. The double benefit of these 2 products goes a long way in sustaining manageability and supporting sleeker, smoother hair styles.

  19. LMD says:

How does this product actually work? If it's an alternative to chemicals, then what is/are actually used to achieve the "straightened" look?? Just wondering: I use to get mine straightened with relaxers a long time ago but stopped because of a bad experience(I'm sure you and many others can relate). I started going to a salon after the lame barber with the broken neck(that should have been my cue!) shorn off everything I had after telling him I wanted a shag. The girls in the salon hooked me up for real!! Hell, they were jealous of me when I walked out! But of course, doing this on an often basis gets expensive. So I happened upon a youtube vid with a biracial lady talking about biracial hair and saw your website. Anyway, if ya got anymore info on this product, let me know. May want to try it on my daughter's hair. Take care and God bless!!!

I am currently wearing my wig; however, my real hair is actually shoulder length and natural. I am wearing this style because I have a problem because my hair constantly reverts in humidity. I am excited about purchasing The Diva Smooth celebrity kit. Can this product be applied on our own or does the product have to be applied by a haircare professional? Will reversion occur during workouts?

  24. jackie says:

After 26yrs of relaxing my hair, I needed to change what i was doing because my hair has thinned out and has broken off. I used to have long thick hair. People always thought i had a weave. I had to cut my hair into a short bob style because i can't stand to see stringy thin hair. I happened upon diva smooth while at a web site for phytospecific relaxer. I tried diva smooth and so far i am very happy. My hair is smooth at the roots after applying the product once and even one week later and one wash later. The coconut serum is exceptional. I highly recommend this product.

Interested in your product — I'm going natural it's been 8 months since I've had a PERM Touch-up; I shampoo once a week and visit the salon once a month. I'm lovin my natural hair texture and get a lot of compliments on my hair. My goal is to twist or lock my hair and enjoy my natural hair into my old age.

50 in the ATL and lovin the natural look

The mixture of the natural ingredients helps the hair resistant to damage and growth. Making for healthier and stronger hair

I am a cancer survivor, just got my hair back and have vowed to stay natural. Where can your products be purchased? Are they in stores or can you only order them online?

  28. Shailah says:

I have a question. I keep reading and the results of this product seem to work mainly for biracial women. I am a 3/4 black and 1/4 russian but you could never tell. My hair is very thin and has alot of damage from relaxers. Does the products outcome vary on the types of hair? and also do you have a product that gives you curls if you are tired of straightend hair?

    • JBSupport says:

The Diva Smooth can work on all hair types. The determining factor in whether your hair will be straight or not is the flat-iron you use. The Diva Smooth coats your hair cuticle with all-natural ingredients, giving your hair a smooth base to achieve the straight, permed look.

  29. Ashley Holmes says:

hi. i have relaxed ends. i've been chemical free for almost a month now, and thats because i took down some braids in june. i've seen alot of girls on youtube going natual and i decided to go ahead and do the same. i would like to know what should i use to transition my hair to natural. and what would be the process. i've seen in some comments about how to go about doing it but i have a question: when u say "you can apply it from the day you apply a perm to the point of needing to re-apply a perm (4-6 weeks out)." WHAT DO U ACTUALLY MEAN? i'm not really understanding "apply it from the day you apply a perm to the point of needing to re-apply a perm". are you saying to apply it like i would a perm? or doyou mean something else?

    • JBSupport says:

You can apply Diva Smooth the day you apply a perm or any day after. If you apply a perm today and decide not to do it again and go natural tomorrow you can transition by using Diva Smooth. That way you can maintain straightness during your transition phase. You apply Diva Smooth from root to shaft of the hair, Rinse, Shampoo, Condition, Blow Dry, Apply Virgin Coconut Hair Serum and Flat-Iron.

I started using Diva Smooth 2 months ago and I love it. My hair is all natural and very wavy. I washed and conditioned it this morning with Janelle's Rosemary and Mint Hair Wash and the Moistrizing contitioner, 3 weeks after putting in the Diva Smoothing agent. After washing I ran my fingers through my hair and added curl activator for sheen and softness. My hair feels wonderful. I can wear it haning down or I can pin it up. It feels sooooo healthy. I'm over 52 yrs old and my hair has thinned out and you can see it when I wear it straight, but now it looks thick and full. I love you Janelle for coming up with this. I love it!!!!!!!!!!

  32. miggyjb says:

    Hi,
So I've been debating on whether or not to buy this product. It seems like it would be wonderful, but I am not sure about the use of a flat iron. Isn't using hot tools constantly bad for your hair or does diva smooth protect your hair from this kind of damage.

    • JBSupport says:

Applying excessive heat to chemically processed hair is never a good thing. With the use of the Diva Smooth and the Virgin Coconut Hair Serum, your hair is coated with heat protective ingredients that works as a barrier, not just against high heat, but environmental elements as well. Additionally, with the use of a professional flat-iron, high heat is not needed. The concern for heat is somewhat diminished when your hair is in its natural state, since your hair is not chemically processed. Heat also works in your favor when using the Virgin Coconut Hair Serum since the product is heat activated. Please contact us if you have additional questions. Thanks for your interest!
